The head of state is the queen of the United Kingdom, and the head of government is the prime minister of Canada. Canada has a market economic system in which the prices of goods and services are determined in a free price system. Canada is a member of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC), the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), and the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP).
